Leadership Community of Practice Call*

Please join us on Monday April 20, 12:00 pm (eastern time) for a conversation about what leadership in ECSE/ECI looks like right now. Come with stories of success, challenges that are puzzling, and what leaders in our field, including yourself, are doing. 

The aim of this dialogue is to highlight what is working, collaborate to brainstorm or simply share what you are doing, and ultimately just connect as the Leadership CoP!

Leadership Community of Practice Call and Discussion

with Dr. Robin Miller Young, Assistant Professor in the Department of Special and Early Education at Northern Illinois University

Monday, March 11, 2019, 3:00 - 4:00 PM EST 

 

The topic for discussion was Leadership as related to the "Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)" initiative for young children. Dr. Robin Miller Young co-edited a book and six instructional videos on this initiative with Dr. Judy Carta (University of Kansas).  Robin wrote several book chapters, including the chapter on "Leadership", which will served as a basis for the discussion. She also wrote the scripts for the videos that illustrate program and school leaders engaging in various leadership activities relative to the MTSS imitative.  Robin is also a member of the DEC Task Force Writing Group working to revise the Rtl Position Statement into a contemporary statement on MTSS, and she provided an update on this important work in the discussion.
