Annie George-Puskar,, is currently an Assistant Professor at Fordham University Graduate School of Education in New York, NY.  Annie completed her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a specialization in Early Childhood Intervention Leadership from the University of Connecticut. She began her career in early childhood intervention during her undergraduate studies at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and continued through her post-graduate certification in Applied Behavior Analysis at Penn State University. Her areas of focus are on children ages birth-5 with disabilities and developmental delays, supporting children with autism spectrum disorders and their families, transitions into preschool, using data-based decision-making instruction, and personnel preparation.  In addition to her involvement with DEC, she is a reviewer for the journal Infants and Young Children and the journal International Child Care and Education Policy

Elizabeth Beavers,, is currently an Associate Professor of Special Education, in the College of Education at University of Houston - Clear Lake. Her areas of expertise include Special Education and Early Childhood, Developmental Disabilities, Language and Literacy Development, and Instructional and Intervention Pedagogy. Her research interests include emotional dimensions of teaching and learning in early childhood, instructional ecology, and teacher education (to include emphasis on critical thinking and critical thinking dispositions).
